The Pesticide Residue Analyses Laboratory in Rzeszów tests fresh and processed plant materials, soil, water and food for babies and young children for pesticide residues.

Tasks carried out by the Laboratory include:

– official monitoring of pesticide residues based on an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development,

– analyses of pesticide residues in agricultural crops from organic farms,

– scientific research on the disappearance of pesticide residues in fruit and vegetables under controlled experimental field conditions,

– analyses for organizational units and commercial clients.

 The following methods are used for analyses: gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, thin layer chromatography, and VIS absorption spectroscopy.

The Laboratory regularly takes part in and passes proficiency tests organized by the European Commission and The Food and Environment Research Agency.

To ensure reliable, objective and competitive research services the Laboratory has implemented and follows an efficient Management System compliant with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard for “General requirements on the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”. It has sufficient infrastructure and obtains credible analytical results.
